Leaving a 5 star review, because overall I'm very pleased with my purchase. The majority of that recognition goes to my salesman Lavar Campbell. What a delight it was to work with you Lavar, you made my truck buying experience tolerable. Very soft spoken, non pushy salesman. Who went out of his way to make our situation work. On the other hand, I was less than impressed with the new female sales manager in training. Can't remember her name, because it really doesn't matter. She nit picked our trade after making a previous agreement, and we ended up bringing it home and still buying the truck that I was after. Now for the ugly part. When I was walking back and forth across the parking lot to look at my new truck, and one other on the lot....I was almost struck by speeding mechanics numerous times, ripping through the parking lot in customer vehicles. Not much to my surprise, but the very same tech came out to look at my trade in vehicle to evaluate it. A duramax that was already running rough and had a misfire(hense the reason i was trading it in). He proceeded to get in it, rev the crap out of it, and then took it for a test drive, beating the crap out of it as he punched it down the road leaving the dealership. Mind you, it started running rough, and was immediately put on a tow truck and wasn't driven until the day I brought it in to trade, not leaking anything. It came back with a coolant leak that it didn't have before, because that clown lifted a friggin head on his test drive of beating the daylights out of it. The sales manager stood there and watched as it took place. Then declined our trade and said it was rougher than she originally thought. It ultimately worked out for the better, as I got a better deal on the new purchase. But as a tech myself....and previously working in a dealership as a tech, this is totally unacceptable behavior and it's no wonder why the service department has such a bad reputation here. Overall, I'm very pleased with my new truck. It was exactly as described on the internet, and has met all of my expectations for it. Again....the sales experience was extremely pleasant and the reason that y'all get a 5 star....is all thanks to Lavar. Give that man a raise so he can retire and be with his family!!!! But the owner should be having a talk with the service manager and service department techs. Sounds like that end of the house needs improvement big time. If I was still the man I was 10yrs ago....your tech would've got drug out back and slapped up for his actions, and then forced to load up his toolbox. If this isn't the first complaint you've had about this(which I doubt it is), the time is now, to take some action. You can thank my wife for talking me into still buying the truck. Because I was seconds away from loading up my trades, and walking out the door after the whole "test drive incident".
